The US media AP reported this information on Wednesday, citing the Washington-based human rights organization Human Rights Activists.

The report said that a total of 585 people have been killed in the capital Tehran and other cities since the start of Israel’s operation in Iran on June 13. Of these dead, 126 were identified as military personnel and 239 as civilians.

The Iranian Ministry of Health reported a figure of the dead and injured on June 14, the day after the start of the Israeli attack. It said that 224 people had been killed and 1,277 injured in Tehran and other affected cities.

However, Iran does not regularly release the death toll in the conflict. The latest update published last Monday put the number of dead at 224 and the number of injured at 1,277.
