‘Imagine Me’ is being added to Meta AI, the benefits that will be available
Meta is launching a new feature called ‘Imagine Me’ in its artificial intelligence (AI) virtual assistant service ‘Meta AI’. Using the artificial intelligence-based feature, users can create their own imaginary pictures by simply writing messages. The feature can be used in the chat windows of Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. According to Meta, Imagine Me will analyze the user’s prompts and selfies and create a personalized imaginary picture within a few seconds. In October 2023, Meta’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Zuckerberg first gave the idea of this feature through a Reels video. Now it has been opened to general users on a trial basis.

To use the Imagine Me feature, first send a message by writing ‘@Meta AI’ in the chat window of Instagram, WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger. The message should begin with ‘Imagine me as…’. For example, someone can write ‘Imagine me as a cowboy’. After sending the message, the user will have to submit a selfie taken from three different angles. Meta’s artificial intelligence technology will analyze the photos and the sent message and create a picture based on the user’s imagination.
Users can edit all the photos created with Imagine Me if they want. If they don’t like it, they can also instruct them to create a new photo. These photos created with Meta’s own AI technology will have a watermark that says ‘Imagined with AI’.
