The boy’s mother gave false information about bomb to prevent her son from taking a flight to Kathmandu with his ‘extramarital lover’. The boy’s mother and his wife were planning to stop this flight.
Three people have been arrested on charges of giving false information about a bomb. The three are Emon’s mother, wife and Emon’s friend who called with false information about a bomb.
RAB Director General AKM Shahidur Rahman gave this information at a press conference at RAB’s media center in Karwan Bazar in the capital on Saturday.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Dhaka to Kathmandu was searched extensively on Friday afternoon after a bomb threat was made. Later, no bomb was found on the plane. The plane left safely for Kathmandu.
In this regard, the RAB Director General said at the press conference, “A man named Emon was traveling from Dhaka to Nepal on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight with his estranged lover. Emon’s mother and his wife came to know about this. They tried to stop Emon’s journey. But somehow they were unable to do so. Then Imran, another friend of Emon’s, suggested that if the air traffic controller of the plane was informed, then maybe the flight would be stopped. Later, Emon’s mother called the air traffic controller’s number.’

The mother of the boy who took her ‘alien lover’ on a plane to Kathmandu with her gave false information about a bomb to prevent her son from going there. The boy’s mother and his wife were planning to stop the flight.
Three people have been arrested on charges of giving false information about a bomb. The three are Emon’s mother, wife and Emon’s friend who called with false information about a bomb.

A massive search was conducted on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Dhaka to Kathmandu on Friday afternoon after a bomb threat was made. Later, no bomb was found on the plane. The plane left safely for Kathmandu.
In this regard, the RAB Director General said at the press conference, “A man named Emon was traveling from Dhaka to Nepal on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight with his estranged lover. Emon’s mother and his wife came to know about this. They tried to stop Emon’s journey. But somehow they were unable to do so. Then another friend of Emon, Imran, suggested that if the air traffic controller of the plane is informed, then maybe the flight will be stopped. Later, Emon’s mother called the air traffic controller’s number.’
The RAB Director General also said, ‘RAB has been able to arrest three people for their involvement in the incident of giving false information about the presence of a bomb. After learning about the presence of a fake bomb, the plane was searched for three to four hours. This incident severely damaged the image of our national airlines and Bangladesh in the international arena. Several incidents had happened before. Later, it was found that the incidents were not true.’
Warning that strict action would be taken if such false information about the presence of a bomb on a plane was given, the RAB Director General said, ‘The incident of giving false information about the presence of a bomb is a heinous act. The image of the country is tarnished. We will tell everyone not to make such an attempt in any way. If anyone tries to cause such an incident, strict punishment will be provided.’
