Gunmen attack in-laws’ home of Argentina World Cup-winning star
Spanish media outlet Marca reported that eight masked terrorists attacked the house of Molina’s father-in-law, Claudio Occhiuzzi, in Lanus, the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires.
The attackers entered the house and beat Claudio with a gun. Later, the terrorists also clashed with local police. After the incident, Atletico Madrid right-back Molina’s father-in-law, Claudio, gave reporters a detailed account of the incident. According to Claudio, “We were watching TV in the living room when suddenly I heard a sound outside the dining room window. Then I went forward. A criminal dressed in black entered the house and put a gun to my head. Then three more men entered the house with me. They took me to the bedroom, started torturing me. They held a gun to my head and beat me and forced me to tell them where I had put the money.’ Later, when the police arrived at the scene, the terrorists also clashed with them. Claudio, giving a detailed account of the incident, said, ‘As soon as they crossed the door of the dining room, they started shooting at the police. I heard more than 10 to 15 gunshots. One ran outside, the other three came back into the house. That was the scariest moment. I really thought they were going to kill me. Maybe they thought I had informed the police.’
Claudio added, ‘They were trying to escape through the back door, so I went with them to open the gate, which was locked. I was so scared that I couldn’t open the lock. They kept putting the revolver to my head and pulling the trigger.’
