BCB to sit down with cricket fans to ‘improve’ BPL
There is no shortage of discussion and criticism about the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The BCB wants to reduce it in the next edition of the tournament. The BPL Governing Council has also started preparations for that quite early. For this, they will sit with journalists, players, coaches, technical staff, old franchise owners, sponsors and supporters to eliminate the mismanagement and lack of coordination of the BPL.

The BCB wants to organize the BPL in December-January. There are about five months left in that regard. BPL Governing Council Chairman Mahbub Anam said that suggestions will be taken from the stakeholders next week.
After the board of directors meeting, he told reporters in Mirpur today, ‘I want to get an idea about the BPL from different stakeholders from next week to make the participation of stakeholders in the tournament more inclusive. I will hold a consultative program with journalists from different media houses. There will be another group (for discussion) with cricketers, coaches and technical staff. We will also discuss with the previous franchise owners, those who have no problems with the BCB.’ Regarding the involvement of fans, Mahbub Anam said, ‘We will also sit in discussions with sponsors and commercial partners. We will try to involve the fans by conducting an application process. Where we will try to understand what the fans want to see.’
