The woman filed this complaint on June 21 through the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s online complaint portal. In the complaint, she said that she was a victim of cheating and harassment and wanted justice for it. In her complaint to the police, the woman claimed that she had been in a relationship with Yash Dayal for five years.

Complaining against Dayal, the woman said, “He repeatedly engaged me in physical relations by falsely promising me marriage. He also introduced me to his family, who told me that I would be their daughter-in-law. I was in a relationship with him with complete honesty and sincerity.” Dayal was a member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore title-winning team in the 2025 IPL. He took 13 wickets in 15 matches. The 27-year-old pacer was also part of the 2022 champions Gujarat Titans. The Indian Express reported that attempts to contact Dayal failed to yield any response. In her complaint to the police, the woman also said that she had been suffering from depression for a long time and was undergoing treatment. In her words, “I tried to commit suicide many times. I could not get out of the mental anguish. He and his family kept giving me false assurances. His relationships with other women broke my heart, I was in a lot of mental pain.”

Ghaziabad Deputy Commissioner of Police Patil Nimish Dashrath told The Indian Express about the incident that Yash Dayal has already given his statement to the police. According to Nimish, “We have registered a case against him under Section 69 of the New Penal Code (forgery on false promise of marriage) and the investigation is underway.”
