State-owned Rupali and Sonali Bank have been recognized by the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance for their role in implementing the e-governance and innovation action plan 2023-2024.
Rupali Bank and Sonali Bank jointly won first place in the state-owned commercial bank category in the ‘Innovation Showcase (Exhibition) and Best Innovative Initiative Selection’ organized by the Financial Institutions Division.
Finance Advisor Salehuddin Ahmed was the chief guest at the event held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Ministry of Finance at the Secretariat in the capital last Thursday. On behalf of Rupali Bank, the bank’s Managing Director (MD) Kazi Md. Wahidul Islam received the award from the Finance Advisor. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor, was the special guest at the event. Nazma Mobarek, Secretary, Financial Institutions Division, presided over the event.
In addition, Rupali Bank’s Chief Innovation Officer, officials at various levels of the Financial Institutions Department, and heads of departments under it were present at the event.
