The injured Emdadul Islam is the joint convener of the volunteer party at the Sylhet Airport Police Station. He was caught from the Amberkhana area of ​​the city on Wednesday afternoon and taken to the Darshandeuri area, beaten and then his head shaved.

Investigation revealed that some youths caught Emdadul Islam from the Amberkhana area of ​​Sylhet city on Wednesday afternoon. Later, they took him to the neighboring Darshandeuri area and beat him on the charge of stealing an expatriate woman’s bag. Later, his head was shaved and released.

Emdadul Islam alleged that about two years ago, he had a dispute with a member of the Chhatra Dal. Due to this, 10 to 12 people caught him and took him to the Darshandeuri area on Wednesday afternoon. They were BNP, Jubo Dal and Swechchhasebak Dal workers. There, they beat him and snatched his money and mobile phone. Later, at one stage, his head was shaved and a video was recorded with false accusations.
Emdadul Islam said that he is undergoing treatment at the hospital. He has reported the incident to the party’s district, metropolitan and central leaders and has sought justice.

Although the mobile number of Afsar Khan, member secretary of the Sylhet Metropolitan Volunteer Party, was contacted several times in this regard, he did not pick up the call.
