Within 24 hours, the social media accounts of prominent Pakistani personalities have been blocked again. Since Thursday morning, several media outlets, including Pakistani actors, actresses, and sportspeople, have not been able to see the YouTube channels. The ban imposed on these channels was relaxed yesterday, Wednesday, but has been blocked again since this morning.
It is not known whether these popular accounts on various social media have been officially banned again. But when you open them, you see that it says, ‘This account has been blocked in India due to legal demands.’
After the Pahelgam massacre and Operation Sindoor, the broadcast of these channels was banned in India. Allegedly, these channels are spreading various types of provocative news and opinions against India.
Since this morning, the YouTube channels, Instagram or ‘X’ accounts of former Pakistani cricketers Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi, actress Mahira Khan, Hania Amir, Mawra Hussain, Yamuna Zaidi, actor Fawad Khan are no longer visible. After being closed for a month, when it was thought that the ban was lifted last Wednesday, it disappeared again, suggesting that the channels have come under the ban again. Last Wednesday, some accounts were opened based on the opinion of the Union Home Ministry of India. However, nothing has been officially announced about this change of opinion within 24 hours.
