Youth arrested with fake currency

Police have arrested a man named Khorshed Alam (48) with fake notes worth Tk 5 lakh in Khulna.

He was arrested at around 11:15 am today, Wednesday, from the Sachibunia Bishwaro intersection in the city. The arrested youth is the son of Ramzan Ali, a resident of Majer Tack area of ​​Bishwambarpur upazila of Sunamganj district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Luanchara Police Station Md. Yusuf Ali admitted the incident and said that based on a secret tip-off, the police came to know that a consignment of fake money was coming to Khulna from another district. Upon receiving such information, the police station set up a check post at the Sachibunia Bishwaro intersection and conducted a raid on the Tungipara Express bound for Khulna from Dhaka.

The body and the bag with him were searched as the behavior of a person sitting in a seat of the transport was suspicious. At that time, the police recovered 10 bundles of Tk 500 from the bag with him. Later, after examination, it was found that they were fake money. Legal action is being taken against him.
