Two former Chhatra Dal leaders arrested with foreign pistols, magazines, bullets in Feni
Two former Chhatra Dal leaders were arrested in Feni with a foreign pistol, magazine, and bullets. They were arrested with weapons from Laskarhat Damdama and Madhya Lakshmipur areas of Chhanua Union in Sadar Upazila on Sunday midnight. The arrested persons are Md. Delwar Hossain (42) and Rahmat Ullah (43). Among them, Delwar is the former president of Chhanua Union Chhatra Dal and Rahmat Ullah is a former member of Chhanua Union Chhatra Dal. Delwar is the son of Belayet Hossain of Damdama village of Chhanua Union in Sadar Upazila and Rahmat Ullah is the son of Shafiqur Rahman of the same village.

Police and joint force sources said that based on secret information, a joint force consisting of the army and police conducted a raid in Laskarhat Damdama and Madhya Lakshmipur areas of Chhanua Union in Sadar Upazila around 1 am on Sunday. At that time, two Chhatra Dal leaders were arrested along with a 7.62 mm pistol, a magazine and a bullet. The army handed over the accused to Feni Model Police Station on Monday afternoon. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Feni Model Police Station Mohammad Shamsuzzaman said that the process of filing a case under the Arms Act against the two arrested along with weapons in the joint force operation is under way.
