Rangu Sohel arrested in Khulna
Police have arrested Rangu Sohel (32) in a raid in Rupsa, Khulna. There are multiple cases against Sohel, including drug dealing, extortion, weapons, and the Special Powers Act.
The arrested youth is the son of Abdul Khalek of Rajapur village in Aichgati union in Rupsa.
Police said that late on Tuesday (May 20), they came to know through secret information that Sohel was staying in the Thandar Bagan area of Aichgati union. Based on such information, Police Sub-Inspector Ashraful Islam conducted a raid with the Sangyi force and arrested Rangu Sohel. Sohel was absconding with an arrest warrant. There are multiple cases against him in Rupsa and Khulna Sadar police stations.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rupsa police station Mahfuzur Rahman said that there are multiple cases against Sohel, including drug dealing, extortion, weapons, and the Special Powers Act. The arrested accused has been sent to Khulna jail through the court.
