Despite the continued domestic and foreign conspiracies, the post-August 5 Bangladesh is an example of communal harmony, said Hasnat Abdullah, the chief organizer of the southern region of the National Citizen Party (NCP). He made this comment at the Iftar Mahfil and Hifzul Quran competition award distribution ceremony at the Debidwar Shujat Ali Government College grounds in Comilla on Wednesday afternoon.
This Iftar Mahfil was organized in honor of the families of the martyrs and injured in the July Uprising, anti-fascist politicians, students and the public, professionals, workers, scholars and prominent citizens. Hasnat Abdullah, the president of the program, said, “The Islamic studies that have been done in our madrasas for a decade and a half were considered second grade. The scholars have been deprived of everything. They have been subjected to political vendetta from the national to the local level. However, we want to promise you that we have been able to make Bangladesh after August 5 an example of communal harmony. Domestic and foreign conspiracies continue, even though the conspiracies continue, Bangladesh is an example of communal harmony.’
