Local private sector Midland Bank PLC will launch the ‘Visa Direct for Account’ service. In this regard, they have recently signed an agreement with Visa, a globaltal payment sector.

Midland Bank gave this information in a press release. It said that as a result of the agreement, Visa Direct for Account will make money transfer services in education, healthcare, travel and other approved sectors in the country easier and faster. This service will take much less time to process compared to the conventional method. Midland Bank has taken such an initiative to expand customer service by utilizing Visa’s foreign exchange transaction experience. The bank wants to further strengthen its position in the financial sector.
The press release further said that the launch of Visa Direct for Account service and this partnership with Visa will not only enrich the bank’s payment solutions, but also strengthen their position in the market.
At the agreement signing ceremony, Midland Bank’s Managing Director (MD) Md. Ahsan-uz-Zaman, Head of Cards Abed-ur-Rahman, SAVP International Kazi Kamal Hossain and Head of Public Relations Md. Rashedul Anwar and Visa Country Manager Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan Sabbir Ahmed; Visa Bangladesh Director Ashish Chakraborty were present.
