6 people die of dengue, 586 hospitalized
Six more people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 586 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals in the country.
This information was given in a press release on dengue sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday (September 11).
It said that among the patients admitted to hospitals due to dengue in the last 24 hours, there are 109 in Barisal division (outside the City Corporation), 58 in Chittagong division (outside the City Corporation), 104 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 144 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 103 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 12 in Mymensingh division (outside the City Corporation), 44 in Rajshahi division (outside the City Corporation), 10 in Rangpur division (outside the City Corporation) and two in Sylhet division (outside the City Corporation).
609 dengue patients have been discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours.
Six more people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours. A total of 145 people have died of dengue so far this year.
From January to December 31, 2024, a total of 1,01,214 people were infected with dengue and a total of 575 people died of dengue.
From January 1 to December 31, 2023, a total of 1,705 people died of dengue, while a total of 321,179 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue.
