6 BNP committees dissolved in 2 days in Cox’s Bazar

Six BNP committees have been dissolved in two days in Cox’s Bazar. Along with this, new convening committees have been formed in five upazilas. This information was given in a press release signed by District BNP Office Secretary Yusuf Badri.

According to the press release, the BNP committees of Cox’s Bazar Municipality, Sadar and Ramu Upazila have been dissolved and new convening committees have been announced. Today, Thursday, District BNP President Shahjahan Chowdhury and General Secretary Shamim Ara Swapna canceled these committees and approved the new convening committees.

Yesterday, Wednesday, the upazila committees of Chakaria, Kutubdia and Ukhia in the district were also dissolved. The same day, the convening committees in Kutubdia and Ukhia approved, but the committee in Chakaria was not announced.

Yusuf Badri said that the BNP committees of Cox’s Bazar Municipality, Cox’s Bazar Sadar and Ramu Upazila have been declared dissolved due to their expiration. At the same time, new convening committees with 7 members each were formed in all three branches.

Rafiqul Huda Chowdhury has been appointed as the convener and Mohammad Abul Kashem as the member secretary in Cox’s Bazar Municipality. Abdul Mabud has been appointed as the convener and Syed Noor as the secretary in Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazila. In addition, Moktar Ahmed has been appointed as the convener and Abul Bashar Babu as the member secretary in Ramu Upazila.

Yusuf Badri said that the newly formed convening committees have been instructed to organize conferences and councils within the next month.
