46 arrested including drug dealers, robbers, robbers in six police stations of Tejgaon division
Police have arrested 46 people, including drug dealers, convicted criminals, professional robbers and robbers, in a special drive at different locations of six police stations of Tejgaon division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). The arrested people have been sent to court for action.

This information was given in a press release sent by the DMP’s Media and Public Relations Department on Sunday. It said that they were arrested in the last 24 hours. The press release said that a total of 46 people have been arrested in a drive at different locations of Adabor, Mohammadpur, Hatirjheel, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Tejgaon and Tejgaon Industrial Zone police stations under the Tejgaon division of DMP to control crime. The arrested people include regular case accused, case under investigation, convicted criminals, drug dealers, professional active robbers, thieves, robbers, terrorists, warranted accused and identified criminals involved in various crimes. Regular patrols and special teams under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners and Officers-in-Charge (OC) of different areas of Tejgaon division conducted this operation.
Ten people were arrested from different areas of Adabor police station in a day-long special operation conducted on Saturday. The arrested persons are Rohan (20), Md. Payel (20), Mohammad Hossain (20), Md. Nasir (25), Zahirul alias Deen Islam (28), Md. Palash (22), Md. Tamim (19), Md. Shahidul Islam (28), Md. Shanto (22) and Md. Tipu (36). A steel chapati, an iron chapati and a switch gear knife were recovered from the accused.
14 people involved in various crimes including professional drug dealing have been arrested from different places of Mohammadpur police station. The arrested persons are Rahul (18), Joynal Jhanu (45), Sohel (18), Shanto (22), Zahid Hasan (35), Sajeeb (38), Liton (35), Roni (32), Abdul Malek Munna (24), Shukkar Ali (21), Shakil (22), Hazera Begum (55), Yusuf Ali (66) and Shamim (22).
The DMP press release further said that seven people have been arrested from different areas of Tejgaon police station. The arrested persons are Amit Hasan (26), Md. Sajeeb Ali (20), Md. Laden (20), Md. Sumon Mia (22), Md. Omar Faruk (21), Md. Rifat Sikder (19) and Alamin (26).
Five people have been arrested from different places of Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station. They are Md. Sumon (22), Md. Enamul (23), Akash (21), Md. Tariqul Islam (25) and Md. Faisal (26). In addition, one person has been arrested from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station.
Quoting Hatirjheel Police Station, the DMP said that nine people have been arrested from different places in the area. They are Syed Yunus Ali (62), Shahidul Islam (21), Md. Nurul Islam (54), Roni (20), Md. Sumon Islam (22), Md. Selim Mia (45), Md. Shefali Akhter (32), Md. Sabuj (28) and Md. Jasim (40).
