Police have arrested two women in connection with the incident of beating and pelting shoes on a traffic policeman named Nazmul Islam in Kushtia.
Police arrested the two from their house in Kushtia city on Monday (December 9) evening.
The arrested are Sohana Islam Roja, wife of Ashraful Islam Matin of Abu Hanif Lane in Kushtia Municipality, and Sanjida Akhter Shanta, wife of Ripon Ali of Housing D-Block area.

Preparations for the case are underway.”CCTV footage from a local pharmacy shows that the traffic policeman, Nazmul Hossain (48), was standing on duty when a woman rushed up and suddenly started slapping him.
After a while, another woman came and started beating him and started recording the video on her mobile phone. At one point, the two women took off their sandals and started beating Nazmul.
Locals rushed to the scene and asked the two women to stop and the traffic police were asked to leave the scene.paper.
