10 years of employment with a friend’s certificate, fraud exposed after fraud case
Rajib Alam had been working in various private organizations for 10 years using the name of his friend Tipu Sultan and photocopies of his certificate. In his resume, the friend used his name, father’s name, address, and certificate – everything except his own photo. In this way, he was working as an assistant manager of the central warehouse of an organization in the capital.

Recently, a case was filed against Rajib Alam and his colleagues at the police station on charges of embezzling goods worth 83 lakh 54 thousand taka through fraud. After his arrest in this incident, the police sent a notice to the house of the real Tipu Sultan, and the incident came to light.
Rajib Alam’s father’s name is Altab Hossain. His home is in Arifpur village in Bagha upazila of Rajshahi. He passed SSC from Chandipur High School in the upazila in 2011 and HSC from Tentulia-Pirgachha Vocational Institute and Technical BM College in 2014.
Tipu Sultan lives in the same village. His father’s name is Khaybar Ali. Tipu Sultan completed his SSC in 2009 from Nautika High School in the upazila, HSC in 2011 from Sharifabad College and post-graduate degree in political science from Rajshahi College in 2016. Tipu Sultan has been working in various companies for seven to eight years. He is currently working in a garment factory.
During the audit, it was found that he embezzled Tk 83 lakh 54 thousand from the company through criminal forgery and fraud in collusion with Mashiur and Rajib. Later, the AGM of the company’s central warehouse, Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury, filed a case with Ashulia Police Station on charges of embezzlement and fraud. The police can find out the details by taking a notice to Tipu Sultan’s house with the address.
The investigating officer of the case, Omar Faruk, said that he was recently transferred from Ashulia Police Station. He will hand over the investigation of the case to another officer.
